Due to continued and sustained growth our client is on the hunt for a Project Manager to join their team, leading major Rockhampton-based projects. As a Project Manager you will be part of the delivery team and is responsible for the successful delivery of allocated Contract works. Successful delivery includes meeting targets of safety performance, budgeted financial outcomes, and completion. Your background in civil construction and your qualification in project management will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring effective planning, execution, and completion.
- Implement project management methodologies and tools to track project progress, deliverables, and timelines.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage all compliance and governance activities within the project contract.
- Oversee daily operations of the project, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service, both internally and externally.
- Ensure the safety of all team members, enforcing strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering/construction/project management
- Strong understanding of compliance, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational and operational management skills.
- Proven track record in project coordination and management.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A demonstrated commitment to safety. It's not just about compliance, but about empowering and coaching employees to work safely.
- Demonstrated ability to utilise computerised systems and databases for the delivery of projects.
Note: The role is based out of Rockhampton and is typically Monday - Friday. However, depending on project needs, this job will require remote project work and overnight travel away from home as well.
