We're in search of a confident Project Manager/Estimator to join WABi Constructions, supporting our upcoming projects at sites across Australia and World Wide.
We value driven, results-oriented team players with strategic thinking abilities and a solid grasp of current building and contracts practices. In this role, you'll efficiently manage Projects, from planning, budgeting/procurement, supervising and coordinating construction from start to completion.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expertise in construction methodology and procurement strategies, utilizing strong negotiation skills to secure optimal terms and agreements.
- Exhibit a passion for construction, adeptly managing both head and sub-contracts, and pursue value management initiatives for cost-effectiveness throughout projects.
- Willing to Travel to remote sites
- Collaborate effectively with Developers, Builders, Estimators, Design Managers, and Subcontractors, upholding accountability standards to drive outcomes effectively.
- Display drive and ambition for career advancement, embracing responsibility and commitment while meticulously reviewing and negotiating subcontract and supplier terms.
- Assist in administering Head Contracts, ensuring accurate and timely administration of Subcontracts, and managing procurement and project works from tender to completion.
- Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers, supporting financial management of projects and coordinating council approvals and associated permits.
- Provide comprehensive project status updates, maintaining meticulous contract documentation and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Cost Tracking and Reporting: Track project costs and generate regular reports on project costs, budget variances, and financial projections.
- Communication and Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact for various parties involved, facilitating discussions to resolve disputes and participating in project meetings to provide updates on contract status and potential risks. Helping foster effective communication and collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in construction contract administration or project management is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and similar project management software is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective teamwork.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and relevant regulations is preferred.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues are crucial.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced construction environment are key attributes.
- Understanding specifications and drawings for accuracy and buildability is important.
- Confident communication with various stakeholders, ensuring messages are concise and impactful, is essential.
