PJN Steel Fabrication are one of the country's leading agricultural shed companies & we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager/Safety Officer to join our growing team in Walla Walla, NSW.
The successful applicant will coordinate the delivery of PJN Sheds with erectors & other external trades and operators for the flawless execution of projects, relay information between clients, erectors, and third party operators, support the development of OHS policies and programs, advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.), conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures, review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation, initiate and organise OHS training of employees and executives.
This is a flexible position that could be Part-Time or Full-Time position for the right candidate. Experience is an advantage but not necessary as training will be provided, an OH&S traineeship is also possible for the right candidate.

The role will involve:
Project Management:
Coordinate the delivery of PJN Sheds in conjunction with erectors and other external trades and operators for the flawless execution of projects
Inspect and be aware of weather forecasts, public holidays and adapt project to suit
Relay information between clients, erectors, and other third-party operators
Allocate trucks, staff and other PJN resources effectively
Record, update and follow existing PJN documentation
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Occasional site inspections to assess suitability for construction
Safety Officer:
Support the development of OHS policies and programs
Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives
Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
