The Opportunity:
Opportunity for Kiln Maintenance Operator to join our production team based in our manufacturing site in Albury NSW. If you are a highly motivated team player with excellent problem solving capabilities and the ability to influence change, in a proactive positive way this position is for you. This full time permanent role will suit a safety conscious, highly motivated team player.
Responsibilities and Duties;
Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor and forming part of the production team the successful candidate will be required to safely and effectively operate and repair production plant including the Kiln, Pre-heaters, and dryers, to prepare and manufacture clay bricks which exceed customer activity. Other responsibilities will include;
- Carrying out quality checks as required during production and report results promptly
- Preventative maintenance planning & condition monitoring
- Completing housekeeping for plant and production to keep work area(s) safe, clean and tidy
- Working with management team to minimise operating costs and implement quality measures.
**You will work on a 12-hour shift rotation roster, which involves working on site, alone at times (after hours), on both Day and Night Shifts. Working within the roster involves weekend and Public Holiday work. You will also need to be flexible as you will be expected to rotate through an on call roster when required.
Skills & Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Experience in a similar position
- Trade Certificate Preferred (Mechanical or Electrical)
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- A hands on attitude, strong problem solving skills and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
