Job description

The role:
  • Responsible for robust, high level research with a local, national and international focus to inform the requirements of policy and projects relevant to the Child Health and Parenting Service. Research includes critical analysis; networking; development of recommendations; and reporting.
  • Develop project plans that consider and incorporate the current political, social and professional environment locally, nationally and internationally. Project planning includes:
  • Research and critical analysis
  • Sound governance arrangements
  • Development of project milestones
  • Risk identification and mitigation strategies
  • Effective consultation and communication strategies.
  • Liaise, consult and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to inform policy development and project management including project evaluation.
  • Lead, coordinate, and support project-related committees, including preparation of high level documentation for various stakeholders.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 8 January 2025
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location: Hobart, Tasmania
Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse or Midwife
  • Current Working with Children Registration

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Current Driver's Licence
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted: * Conviction checks in the following areas:
