About the team
The Australian Centre for Geomechanics (ACG) is a multi-disciplinary joint venture and UWA Research Centre which provides professional education training and research services to the mining sector, in the disciplines of underground, open pit and environmental mining geomechanics. The overall aim of the Centre is to improve mine safety and productivity.
ACG’s main activities are applied mining industry research, and the facilitation of continuing education and training through courses and conferences. Technology transfer from research outcomes through publications, training courses and training materials is an important part of the ACG’s mandate.
About the opportunity
This role involves coordinating the administration and accounts of the mXrap consortium, including onboarding, billing and organising agreements for new mXrap consortium members and licence holders. You will be using your organisational skills and implementing systems to keep the consortium running smoothly and promote growth of the mXrap platform within industry.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, problem solve and work productively as part of a team
- Experience in developing and maintaining business process improvements
- Willingness to learn light software development using JavaScript
- Knowledge of or experience working in the mining industry is beneficial
