Salary: $87,559 - $97,986 per annum (based on 70 hours per fortnight) plus superannuation and a nine day fortnight
Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications, and experience.

About the role
The Project Officer Bushland Trail Infrastructure is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a diverse skill set and offers a varied range of office and on site work tasks.
This role is responsible for capital works, renewal and maintenance programs for bushwalking and mountain biking infrastructure across the Hornsby Shire. Ensuring the delivery of projects and maintenance works to a high-quality standard of construction and environmental sensitivity is key to the success of this role.
This role is an integral part of our Environmental Operations team, supported alongside other Project Officers and field crew.
About you
We are looking for a pro-active, enthusiastic, industry professional with diverse skills and working knowledge of track design principles and construction techniques and how to apply them in sensitive environments and bushland.
You will have sound project management skills and experience in the supervision of consultants and contractors in carrying out works and a demonstrated ability to apply the WHS Act and Regulations, and relevant Australian/Industry Standards.
The ability to be self-motivated is critical to the success of this role as is the ability to provide expertise in building/construction and managing contracts in the role of Superintendent. Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are essential. Strong ability in negotiations and to build and maintain relationships is also essential.
You will have demonstrated experience in checking and writing specifications, reports, and administration of contracts with the ability to communicate effectively across a broad range of stakeholders.
The person is expected to work in a business office environment and is also required to visit outdoor project and construction sites.
Relevant industry qualifications (tertiary) with studies related to project management, contract management, natural area land management, or deemed appropriate level of qualifications and/or experience is a requirement for this role.
