Your new company
You will be working as an Asset Management Project Officer developing and delivering Asset Management Projects across the organisation by supervising work, preparing documents and reports, and contributing to achieving set organisational targets relative to Asset Management activities.
Your new role
Working with the Asset Management Lead, the Asset Management Projects Officer is responsible for the delivery of Asset Management Projects and associated services that contribute to the delivery of the organisation's plan, including:
- Supporting and fostering innovation
- Ensuring infrastructure is fit for purpose
- Reducing the Council's footprint on the environment
- Ensuring we are the leading governance model
- Preparing procedures for Asset Management practices and assisting in the development of Asset Management plans and strategies
- Uses technical knowledge and understanding of business functions and operations to ensure Asset Management services are effectively and efficiently delivered
- Project manage and undertake the collection and updating of data in line with Council’s Asset Management plans and revaluation schedule
- Undertake field inspections, risk assessments and surveys to verify and assess assets
- Assist in the management and reporting of fleet fuel cards, insurance, registrations, memberships, procurement and disposals of fleet assets
- Provide general support, training and advice on GIS and Asset Systems to users
- Assist in the preparation of Council's revaluations, end of year transactions, works programming and operational, capital budget and long-term budgets
- Coordinate the scheduling of Asset Management Projects with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop quality organisational documentation, including strategies, Council reports, presentations, project plans, procurement documents, briefings and correspondence, for a variety of audiences
- Carry out duties according to after-hours on-call rosters, disaster preparedness and response team
