Role Overview:
As a Project Officer, you will assist with the project management of corporate actions such as floats, takeovers, buy-backs, and rights issues. Under the supervision of a Project Manager, you will also take the lead on managing minor corporate actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers with tasks related to corporate actions, including preparing project documentation and ensuring compliance with internal and external supplier contracts and service level agreements.
- Under supervision, manage minor corporate actions by:
- Scoping projects in accordance with client requirements.
- Documenting project assumptions, identifying optimal processing options, and determining resource needs.
- Preparing comprehensive project management documentation, including workflow sheets, business rules, risk management strategies, and supplier contracts.
- Execute and deliver Capital Markets projects on time and within budget, negotiating resources and ensuring compliance with all procedures and legislative requirements.
- Participate in reviews of projects to identify areas for improvement and update standard project documentation accordingly.
- Assist with the preparation of invoices and review third-party invoices for corporate action projects.
- Support the preparation and implementation of cost-efficient business plans that contribute positively to MUFG’s strategic goals.
- Provide support to the Campaigns Analyst to ensure the delivery of key milestones related to Contact Centre/Campaign requirements.
Experience & Personal Attributes:
- Knowledge of the securities industry and financial markets, including Corporations Law, ASTC Settlement Rules, and ASX Listing Rules.
- Willingness and aptitude to develop successful project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
- High level of initiative, motivation, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines.
- Flexibility to meet demanding deadlines
- Experience in financial markets, law, or the securities industry highly favourable
- Proficiency with project management tools, such as Microsoft Office applications, is an advantage.
