Based at any of our major regional centres (Dalby/Chinchilla/Miles/Tara or Wandoan), you will be responsible for implementing, coordinating and supporting various projects.
This position is Fixed Term until 17 March 2025.
Reporting to the General Manager (Community & Liveability), you will:
- Contributing new ideas, identifying opportunities, and maximising the benefits of change to improve the development and delivery of Community & Liveability related programs, projects, and events within the region;
- Positively representing Council at internal and external gatherings and meetings, building rapport and nurturing internal and external stakeholder relationships;
- Understanding the impact of promotional and marketing initiatives on strategic, political or operational outcomes for the Community & Liveability division and research, implement and monitor operational tasks for the respective teams as they relate to marketing and advertising;
- Assisting in the delivering department specific projects and events, whilst having a demonstrated interest and understanding of this area.
About yourself
The successful applicant will have:
- a relevant qualification in business administration, events management or a related field;
- a current Queensland Drivers Licence and Working with Children Blue Card (or willing to obtain);
- experience in being a driven and organised self-starter with an interest in communities;
- previous experience managing multiple tasks whilst still delivering to strict deadlines;
- experience in monitoring and projecting budgetary reports with high level of accuracy; and
- exceptional oral / written communication skills and highly developed attention to detail.
