About the Opportunity
This role may be based from any Council office in our region. You will be responsible for implementing, coordinating and supporting various projects within the Utilities Department.
You will:
- Prepare detailed scopes of work, specifications, tender and contract documents;
- Assis with the supervision of contractors and consultants, including contract and specification development and administration;
- Undertake civil engineering activities including minor survey and design, drafting, programming, estimation, cost control and computer aided design; and
- Identify any potential problems and risks with projects.
About yourself
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience in effectively managing projects, including timeframes, budgeting and quality control;
- Proven ability in producing solutions to problems and resolving issues using analytical reasoning and experience;
- Ability to develop and strengthen networks and relationships with industry stakeholders and supervise contractors and consultants; and
- It is highly desirable to hold a Diploma in Project Management or related fields or demonstrate equivalent related experience.
Your salary remuneration will be based on your relevant skills and experience.
