  • Provide operational support for international strategic initiatives within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences.
  • Facilitates the development and management of key international relationships, enhancing global collaboration and strategic partnerships.

About the Role
The Project Officer - International, situated in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences, collaborates closely with senior faculty members to execute the International Strategy. Responsibilities include managing relationships with global stakeholders, providing operational advice, and supporting program development and agreements. The role also entails coordinating international delegations, meetings, and strategic initiatives in alignment with university objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead liaison activity with international partners and prospective partners together with and on behalf of leading academic staff
  • Develop, nurture and manage the Faculty’s relationship with key international stakeholders
  • Ensure accurate reporting on agreements in relation to the Foreign Relations Act and in accordance with University records management policy.
  • Advise Faculty and Faculty partners on protocol for international visits, agreements and joint activities

Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, demonstrating versatility, cross-cultural awareness, and self-motivation. Proficiency in a second language and an interest in international relations are desirable.

You will also have:

  • Completion of a tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/ training.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills and the ability to work with a high level of attention to detail and meet deadlines.
  • A high level of cross-cultural awareness and the proven ability to liaise effectively across cultural boundaries.
