A leading Australian Federal Government is looking to hire a Project Officer to help modernise the technology delivering end to end management for providers.
Reporting to the Director of the Funding, the Project Support Officer will:
- Maintain and apply the departmental frameworks, processes and procedures required
for the successful delivery of the project.
- Develop and support the delivery of relevant project, governance and assurance reports.
- Undertake a wide range of administrative support activities including secretariat, brief
and paper development, procurement, recruitment and contract management activities,
and project and financial reporting.
The Department is seeking individuals with the following skills and capabilities:
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, including ability to meet deadlines with
competing priorities and delivering work to a high standard with good attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a good communication aptitude.
- Ability to draw on a range of reference materials to prepare detailed reports both
periodically and ad-hoc.
- Ability to make decisions with some autonomy and undertake work of moderate
complexity under limited supervision.
- Ability to analyse reports and information and identify and contribute to the resolution of
issues and problems.
The successful candidate will exercise good judgment, demonstrate initiative, have strong written and oral communication skills and be able to manage urgent tasks with short timeframes when required.
