SecureEnergy, an Elecnor led project, has been awarded the engineering, construction, and procurement contract for Transgrid’s EnergyConnect project.
The scope of the project includes a new 700km Transmission Line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border, one new and two upgraded substations and five newly built accommodation camps.
When built, this key infrastructure initiative will enable future renewable energy projects to connect to the electricity grid.
The Role
Elecnor Australia has a great opportunity for a Project Surveyor to join the team in Wagga Wagga. This opportunity will suit a local candidate from Wagga Wagga who likes the idea of working on a Tier 1 project, yet on a 5/2 roster that allows time for family on weekends.
As a project Surveyor, you will work with a diverse multidisciplinary team, collaboratively delivering this key infrastructure project for our client, Transgrid. You will be responsible for project surveying and survey-related early works activities for the Transmission Line.
This is a significant opportunity to contribute to one of the nation’s largest energy infrastructure projects in a rewarding surveying role.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Surveying fieldwork
- Structure set out
- Measuring and marking out
- Assisting with investigations, the gathering of data and report writing
- Preparing plans from field survey data
- Computing survey data
- Completing surveys in an efficient and professional manner
- Accurate record-keeping of job progress
- Pre-organise job requirements (plans, field notes, dwg files) and pre-calculations if necessary
- Implement controls documented for all specified tasks
- Maintaining equipment
- Maintaining professional development and training
- Continuous improvement activities
Skills & Experience:
- 3 + years of previous experience as a Project Surveyor
- Previous experience with Total Station, GPS and Laser Scanners
- Knowledge of Data Management procedures, including 12d Field / Model packages, is highly regarded
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Diploma of Surveying or equivalent
- White Card (General Construction Induction Card)
- Drivers License
