The Role
We have an opportunity for a Registered Surveyor to join our team on a full-time basis in the Hunter valley area, working with our civil and structural mechanical teams
Primarily this role is based on our project sites and will require travel. Work is predominantly Monday to Friday within the Hunter Valley however, this may vary depending on the projects requirements and timelines.

Key Requirements:
- Compiling, reducing and processing of survey field data into project master files
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at site
- Prepare all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
- Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents.
- Project related fieldwork
- Processing data and final deliverable issues
- Updating job progress and activities
- Detail excavation set out
- Concrete set out
- Hold down bolt set out
- Structural steel verticality
- Mechanical equipment alignment and levelling
- Conveyor alignment
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
- Completion and adherence to safe work method statements
- Compliance with FCS safety inspections, interactions
- Team player, must be adaptable and willing to assist other areas of FCS team when required
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test
- Frequent drug and alcohol testing at each site
- Must follow legislated & Safe Work practices
Key Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of design techniques, technical plans, drawings and models
- Analyse drawings and specifications
- Understand contractual terms and conditions
- Knowledge of the Construction industry
- Engineering/Surveying degree
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Proven planning and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated experience in interpretation of drawings, specifications and technical data.
- Strong computer skills in Experts Estimator, AutoCAD, Navisworks & Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and manage time
- Excellent communication skills and active listening skills
- Experience in establishing and maintaining consistent performance standards with regards to operational procedures and support safe, efficient and respectful work practices.
- Sound experience with the Microsoft suite of programs
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems, process and software
- Highly effective and clear communication skills
- Highly effective administration skills
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
- High attention to detail
