We're looking for a Technical Officer to join our Projects team. As a Project Technical Officer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring timely completion and smooth delivery of electrical projects assembled at our facility in Royal Park, SA. In this role, you will:
- Under the leadership of Project Electrical Engineers oversee the entire lifecycle of projects, from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project goals, budget, and schedule.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and prepare electrical documentation (the master document register - MDR) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist with the management of project timelines, resources, and budgets, tracking progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure project success.
- Coordinate with internal and external parties to procure necessary equipment, materials and engineering services, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Assist to resolve technical challenges and ensuring effective communication among team members.
- Monitor project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
What we look for:
- Demonstrated track record in working and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail is essential, this role requires a highly conscientious person.
- Familiarity with Electrical principles and ability to read and understand datasheets and detailed design drawings, specifically equipment lists, labelling and documentation / certificate requirements.
- Excellent communication and networking skills, both internal and external.
- Driven, self-motivated, thrive in a team atmosphere, excellent organisational & time management skills, goal focused.
What you have:
- Relevant education, training or experience to satisfy the above. Examples include (but not limited to) currently studying in a related technical field, have worked in a hands-on technical capacity in the past, have worked coordinating teams and resources in the past.
- Willingness to learn to use 2D CAD software.
- Knowledge of general manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Part time employment considered for this specific role should study or work restriction necessitate that.
- You are based in Adelaide, South Australia.
