Your new role
As a Project Technical Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from change management to the transition to Business as Usual upon project completion. Your responsibilities will include investigating and resolving technical issues, employing structured analysis and creative problem-solving, preparing logistics and cargo, supporting test and training environments, and implementing new infrastructure and technology solutions. Additionally, you will maintain essential inventories and demonstrate a keen awareness of ICT security requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Successful management and delivery of ICT-related projects and/or large corporate ICT transformation programs, with the ability to adapt to various delivery methodologies.
- Experience with hardware installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and equipment, including servers, routers, switches, VoIP equipment, computers and peripherals, and wireless network equipment, along with associated copper and optic-fiber structured cabling.
- Experience with RF, 4G LTE, or Satellite communications systems equipment and installation, with a strong understanding and practical experience of RF system components and supporting equipment.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Familiarity with test and training environments and the ability to support system deployments and enhancements.
- Competence in implementing new infrastructure, technology acquisitions, and software upgrades.
- A strong understanding of ICT security requirements
- Experience with software systems including installation, administration, development, and testing (desirable).
- An Open Cabling Licence with optical, coax, and structured (O, C & S) endorsements (desirable).
- Understanding of antennas and associated cabling/feeder systems, and familiarity with masts and associated hardware (desirable).
