Project Worker - Anglicare Mental Health Services
About The Role
Anglicare has been awarded short term - time limited funding to develop and implement initiatives to address Mental Health challenges in the Tamil Community in Western Sydney. The Project Worker will be responsible for working with the Tamil Community to ensure effective initiatives are implanted.
This is a Maximum Term (10months) Part Time role, 3 days a week based at Parramatta.
We are seeking a candidate with Project Management experience and an understanding of Mental Health issues faced by the Tamil community. To be able to identify and recruit Tamil community members to be a part of the project to develop and implement a Community Engagement Plan, a Register of identified Mental Health issues impacting the community and a Register of existing initiatives to address Mental Health challenges in the community.
The role will also include (but not limited to)
- Work with community members to codesign and implement initiatives to address Mental Health challenges faced by community.
- Project management of the initiatives to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and within budget.
- Holding regular meetings with members of the Tamil community to work on initiatives.
- Collect data regarding project activities and reporting on these data to management
- Preparing reports as required by management and funding body
- Assist in evaluation of project.
- Ensure documentation meets organisational, legislative and funding requirements by completing and maintaining appropriate participant documentation and statistical information.
- Experience working with Tamil community and have understanding of Mental Health issues faced by Tamil community members.
- NSW Drivers licence
- Experience in Project Management
- Demonstrated existing relationship with Tamil community in Western Sydney
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with community members to develop projects and using codesign principles in process.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with community members
- Valid paid Working with Children Check.
