During your time in this role, you will be required to work one day per week alongside a study team to collate data and other information needed for this project. This will be ongoing for up to 18months. The successful applicant will also be involved in providing information and support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients who are considering taking part, or who are already participating, in the clinical trial.As the Research Project Aboriginal Health Worker, you will be well connected with, and have knowledge of, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities within the Newcastle region. You will be respectful and have strong communication skills that give you the ability to liaise with community members and participants of the project regarding all aspects of the trial. You will be supported by Research Coordinators, your Line Manager, and the Principal Investigator/District Clinical Director.Where you'll be working
The successful applicant will join a team conducting a multi-site clinical trial investigating CBD oil as a treatment for cannabis use disorder. You will be located at Newcastle Community Health Centre, 670 Hunter Street, Newcastle, and sit with other members of our DACS Research team – consisting of multiple disciplines – who will provide education and support to you as you begin your journey with the research tasks.Benefits
