ABOUT THE BRANCH
The Strategic Procurement Branch (SPB) is responsible for the procurement, refresh and retender of non-ICT Whole of Australian Government (WoAG) coordinated procurement arrangements. These WoAG arrangements are established for commonly used goods or services by the Commonwealth. In addition, SPB undertakes procurement processes for WoAG arrangements managed by other business areas in Finance. SPB collaborates closely with entities and industry to deliver competitive, fit for purpose and value for money procurement outcomes for the Commonwealth.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for multiple APS 5 and APS 6 Project Support Officers to join our procurement team to work on the planning and delivery of a series of innovative WoAG Electricity Arrangements.
As a key member of Finance, you will bring practical experience in administration, stakeholder engagement, project management, negotiation, and contract management. Your skills and abilities will extend beyond the ordinary, as you will have the capability or the keenness to quickly learn.

You will play a vital part in achieving this goal and Finance will establish WoAG arrangements on a state-by-state basis for electricity procurement for use by Commonwealth agencies.
You will engage widely across Government and the private sector and liaise with external stakeholders as necessary. You will project manage complex contract establishment, manage contracts and inform policy with detailed research.
