Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong skills in SAP, Excel, and Word
- Strong understanding of auditing principles, practices, and standards
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Outstanding relationship building, coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- A driver’s license and access to a car is required due to regular travel.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Plan and execute assigned audit work in accordance with audit programs
- Evaluate whether internal controls meet group standards and function as intended.
- Prepare internal audit reports that document audit findings, implications, and recommendations for corrective actions or improvements.
- Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management, you will be responsible for executing audits and providing guidance on governance and assurance matters.
- Critically assess controls; formulate opinions, develop recommendations; discuss opinions and recommendations with associate managers and / or senior; participate in presentation to local management.
- Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret information on the financial standing, cost structures, and trading effectiveness of organizations.
- Devise, reorganize, and establish budgetary cost control and other accounting systems, including computer-based systems.
- Establish audit objectives and design and implement audit methodologies, processes, and audit report criteria.
- Identify, manage, and report on financial risks.
