Projects Co-Ordinator

  • Full time Fixed Term position until June 2024
  • Based in Launceston
  • The TASAg Hub is seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to manage projects and work activities within the Hub
The TASAg Innovation Hub, part of the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture (TIA), is seeking to build the capabilities of farmers and rural communities to better prepare for drought. Diverse partners and network supporters will work together to ensure the Hub's purpose is realised - to increase access to knowledge and adoption of practices to ensure financial, social, and environmental resilience to climate change and variability.

The Opportunity

The role will primarily focus on coordination and monitoring of all projects and work activity conducted within the Hub by providing valuable feedback in the form of reports to project leads and the leadership team to ensure each project and work activity undertaken meets expected outcomes within the set timeframes. This role is critical in ensuring all projects and activity run within the Hub and its external partners are coordinated cohesively.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Functional management through creation, coordination, and monitoring all projects and work activity within the Hub using approved project/activity management software “PAMS” (currently Smartsheets) as directed by the supervisor.
  • Collaboration with all relevant Hub team members and external stakeholders where necessary, to ensure all projects and activities are managed in PAMS using appropriate architecture relevant for each project.
  • Ensure each project created within PAMS is populated with all critical relevant data and technical inputs to ensure projects and work activity are easy to manage for the end user.
  • Act as the internal liaison point for all Hub team members providing training and functional management oversight in terms of the creation of projects, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Providing specialist assistance to Hub team members to manage reporting milestones to the Commonwealth and stakeholders.
Your Application

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;
  • An undergraduate degree relevant to Project Management with experience in functional management of projects and work activity in a large complex program environment.
  • Applicants with a current working knowledge in using Smartsheets will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate, and develop productive relationships with Hub team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to co-operate with others to achieve organisational objectives and to build trust and reciprocity with other teams.
  • Great interpersonal skills, effective listening skills and a growth mindset that drives high performance.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $119,949 comprising base salary within the range of $93,273 to $102,521 plus 17% superannuation.
