YOUR NEW ROLE
In this key pivotal role as the 2nd most senior litigator in the firm’s fast-growing recently created LITIGATION-PROPERTY DISPUTES team, reporting to the head partner (an industry-leading specialist property disputes litigator with 20+ years’ experience) you will delight in:
- The autonomy & ownership of your own practice advising blue-chip clients (eg ASX listed companies, prominent individuals, financial institutions, investment companies, real estate investment trusts, institutional landlords, property developers, security firms, manufacturers and distributors, professional services executives and medical organisations) and litigating a wide range of property disputes relating to: 1) retail, commercial and industrial leases; 2) property transactions (eg conveyancing, easements, caveats, covenants put/call options); 3) mortgages 4) strata issues; 5) joint ventures/partnerships, 6) professional conduct/disciplinary matters and 7)debt recovery/insolvency.
- Engaging in business development/marketing to grow your own practice/clients;
- Leading/mentoring lawyers.

WHO YOU ARE
We are interested in hearing from you if you:
- are a seasoned Partner/ Principal who is wanting to make a change, a sole practitioner who is looking to transition back to a larger team OR an ambitious Senior Associate/ Special Counsel who is looking to step up to Partner;
- have proven 6-20+ years’ post-admission experience in commercial litigation including property-related litigation with a keen interest in this niche (essential);
- preferably have some client following or if no immediately transportable client base, proven experience in business development/marketing contributing to the growth of your practice (essential);
- have strong technical legal drafting, negotiation & advocacyskills+ a strong commercial acumen+ ability to provide practical relevant advice;
- proven ability to autonomously manage your own litigation practice+effectively manage client relationships;
