Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry is preferred
- High level of communication in English is essential to effectively interact with guests and staff from different cultural backgrounds, both verbally and written.
- Demonstrated willingness and capability to learn about hotel operations, policies, and procedures and a strong capacity to effectively instruct, share and teach required knowledge to staff.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to finding solutions and resolving guest and staff issues.
- Ability to adapt to various situations and remain calm under pressure, ensuring professionalism when handling issues that may arise involving guests, staff or external factors.
- Strong leadership skills, empathy and conscientiousness required.
- Friendly and approachable demeanour, with strong customer service skills and a helpful and accommodating attitude towards guests and staff
Tasks & responsibilities
- To manage and grow the business through the diligent application of the Quest franchise system and in accordance with the Quest Way, in order to improve the capital value of the business and maximise return to the Franchisee.
- Business operations; Effectively monitor and manage the day to day operations of the business to ensure that it remains within budget and business goals are met. This includes the day to day management of the Front Office, Housekeeping and Maintenance functions of the business.
- Managing and ensuring that the Hotel is compliant with all required Human Resources and Occupational Health and Safety policies and supporting the staff in ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
- Reporting, reviewing and updating current strategies and implementing effective procedures that align with Quest standards. Ensuring that reporting to the franchisees is consistent
- Managing accounts payable and receivables.
