About the Opportunity

As a PropertyOfficer with us, you will contribute to the efficient management and strategicutilisation of our diverse property portfolio.

Our Property Officers Engage with awide array of stakeholders, including outdoor dining vendors, fitness trainers,coffee vans; manage over 300 agreements and oversee more than 1200 properties,spanning residential, commercial, and community sectors as well as being thetrustee for approximately 200 Crown properties, engaging with issues such asNative Title and Aboriginal land claims.

On a typical day you will:

  • Coordinate and Administer Land ManagementActions: You'll oversee the coordination andadministration of activities related to the management, acquisition, ordisposal of Council-owned land, as well as dealings with Council and Crownland.
  • Facilitate Leasing and LicensingActivities: Your role will involve assisting inthe coordination and administration of leasing, licensing, and occupationagreements for Council and Crown land, including negotiating and preparingcomplex agreements.
  • Negotiate and Prepare Agreements: Prepare and negotiate a variety of occupancyagreements, permits, leases, and licenses, ensuring they align with regulatoryrequirements and Council objectives.
  • Oversee Tenant and OccupantRelations: Ensure the smooth operationalmanagement of tenants, licensees, and other occupants of Council-owned ormanaged properties, fostering positive relationships and resolving issues asthey arise.
  • Administer Property Portfolio: Take charge of administering Council's PropertyPortfolio, including property transfers, leases, licenses, road discontinuances,and creation of easements, among other property-related agreements.

As a fast paced, diverse role, weare eager to hear from candidates with experience from a wide range ofindustries including property leasing, conveyancing, property or landacquisition, licensing or paralegal. Regardless of your background, you musthave impeccable record keeping skills, excellent research skills, high levelwritten communication skills, strong time management skills and an ability tomanage multiple tasks / projects concurrently.

Remuneration and Benefits

Employment Type: 1 x Full time, Permanent 35 hours perweek & 1 x Full time, Temporary 35 hours per week

Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $79,370 to $89,319depending on skills and experience
