Maintenance Officer - Normanhurst

Come and join a leading organisation who provide a range of bespoke services across many different workplaces, utilising experts from across the service industry.
Located in Normanhurst, this role is responsible for the day to day maintenance and upkeep of an aged care facility. This position is to commence immediately and will run until the end of June.
In this role, the successful candidate will play a crucial part in maintaining the property and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned/unplanned maintenance tasks and inspections i.e gardening, pressure cleaning, general painting and rubbish collecting, tap leaks, drain blockages etc
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, showing empathy and understanding towards residents.
- Perform building and property maintenance tasks in a timely manner
- Ensure all maintenance work meets corporate standards and complies with WHS regulations
- Engage trades when needed.
Experience in maintenance in a similar environment would be highly regarded. Other skills & experience include:
- Strong communication skills
- knowledge of relevant legislation related to buildings & WHS
- Trade / Trade Assist background
- Familiarity with contractor obligations
- Proficient computer skills
- Able to pass a Police Background Check
- NSW Drivers License
