ABOUT THE ROLE:
Due to internal movement, an opportunity has arisen within the Property team for an interested person to take on the role of Property Officer for a 12-month period.
Reporting to the Coordinator Property, the Property Officer will hold responsibility for the acquisition, disposal, leasing, and licensing of Council property, and will undertake the administration of Council’s statutory property responsibilities including road closures, easements, encroachments, and caveats.
A BIT ABOUT YOU:This position will suit a self-motivated team player who’s able to think strategically and work collaboratively.
You’ll have previous property experience and understand the application of legislation and policy relating to property management, and will have worked within the context of acquisition, disposal, leasing, and licensing.
You will have the ability to work to deadlines, have well developed verbal and written communication skills, and be comfortable liaising with other staff members, Councillors, and community members to achieve the best outcomes for Council and the community.
