Immediate supervisor: Senior Management AccountantUnder limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Service Level 6 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:1. Prepare and assist in presenting monthly financial reports to business area staff, and work with staff across the department to develop budgets and forecasts.
2. Prepare monthly capital project reports and analysis in consultation with Project Managers across multiple business areas in all aspects of capital budgeting, forecasting and reporting.3. Assist with internal budget development and maintenance, including mid-year review
4. Assist with the development of capital works programs budgets5. Assist with external budgeting.
6. Prepare and process end of month requirements, for example journals, accruals and prepayments.7. Perform financial analysis and investigation to support the Senior Management Accountant, Director and Assistant Secretary, Finance Branch in making decisions.8.
