About the opportunity:

Join our multi-disciplinary team at the university Medical and Counselling Centre where we offer medical, psychiatric, and nursing services to students at the University, supported by a professional administrative team. Supervision with the psychiatrist and peer supervision is also provided.

The client cohort is complex and diverse, and this opportunity will appeal to a skilled practitioner with sound clinical skills, cognitive agility, excellent record keeping and high professional standards.

Reporting to the Associate Director within the Medical and Counselling Service, this role will provide professional and responsive psychological services, assessments, interventions and evaluation.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • A minimum of 4 years practice post full AHPRA registration
  • Demonstrated experience working across a range of mental-health issues including Anxiety, Depression, Addictions, PTSD, Complex Trauma and Personality Disorder.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with young people with a diverse range of needs
  • Demonstrated experience delivering evidence-based interventions. i.e CBT ACT DBT, Schema, EMDR
  • Ability to work independently and be a collaborative member of a multi- disciplinary team.
  • Excellent rapport building and communication skills.
  • Sound computer literacy.
  • A strong work ethic is essential
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Psychology
