Our client have recently acquired a private practice with an established client base in Melbourne's northeastern suburbs, supporting children, adolescents and adults in the local community through various referral avenues.
About the Role
Our client is seeking to appoint an AHPRA generally registered Psychologist, to support a wide range of clients on site in Eltham, in Melbourne's northeastern suburbs.
As a professional Psychologist you will be tasked with establishing a rapport and building trust with a diverse range of clients from all walks of life, including children and adolescents. By performing clinical assessments to identify each client’s needs, you will then work to improve their goals relating to health, work, relationships and/or general wellbeing.
Once challenges are identified, you will deliver the best and most suitable therapeutic techniques to meet their individual needs. You will also assist in the development of plans that may include the provision of multiple internal and external services, for example training, employment and social services.
The salary / rate offered is very competitive, with option of either a salaried employee contract or a licensee/sub-contractor arrangement.
To be successful you will have:
- Relevant qualification in Psychology
- Current full AHPRA registration
- Strong clinical and assessment skills
- An enthusiasm for helping people from varied backgrounds
- Ability to work flexibly and autonomously
- Excellent rapport building abilities, especially in a virtual setting
- Demonstrated qualities of resilience, empathy, integrity and compassion
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- The ability to pass both a Federal Police Check and a Working with Children Check
