As a NDIS focussed clinic, with NDIS certification standards, you can lock into our strong systems and procedures that mean you practice safely every day you work. Our procedures are easy to follow and leave no guess work for government compliance.
Good Start offers a strong professional development program, frequently sourcing external providers for training. In recent years, we have engaged in lengthy training in TEAM-CBT, neurofeedback, IFS, family therapy and ACT. If you love PD, we are a destination clinic.
Supervision is provided by the senior Psychologist or peer mentors, which means you can satisfy The Psychology Board's PD requirements every year easily.
All resources are contained within your contract.
Insurances and AHPRA registration are paid by Good Start Psychology, as well as clearances e.g. working with children, NDIS check.
The position is available for three to four days per week with one full admin day at home (F.T.E.) paid at normal rates per hour. (Three days a week offers an almost full admin day at home).
Good Start offers NDIS therapy to many participants, and we have become an important service for many disabled people living in the northern catchment area.
Core responsibilities include:
- Assess clients using a complete approach, as well as validated inventories e.g. DASS, RCADS, assisted by the Novopsych platform.
- Interpret inventories.
- Develop therapy plans and deliver interventions in a competent and effective way.
- Utilise evidence-informed therapies such as CBT, ACT, social cognitive, play therapy and biofeedback.
- Maintain comprehensive and effective case notes, therapy plans and NDIS end-of-plan reports, in keeping with Good Start Psychology and best-practice standards.
- The psychologist is required to engage in professional development consistent with AHPRA’s requirement for psychologists who are actively registered and practising.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Psychology (Honours): Essential.
- Full Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia : Essential.
All screenings (Working with Children, NDIS disability clearance) provided by Good Start, if required and you don't have them already.
