Applications are invited from suitably experienced Psychologists to join the dynamic team in our Persistent Pain Service located in Wodonga. We offer a number of programs for patients with persistent non-cancer pain, including a multidisciplinary fulltime three week residential group program, outpatient programs and a six hour virtual pain education program. Our programs aim to provide education regarding Persistent Pain and its physical, functional and psychosocial impact, as well as teaching a range of skills to improve management of pain and decrease pain over time.

Primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • assessment of psychosocial factors contributing to Persistent Pain patients' pain experience, and their suitability and readiness to participate in an intensive group program
  • provision of psycho-education to enable patients to improve self-management and treatment of their pain

Candidates meeting the following mandatory criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a psychologist/provisional psychologist
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • In the case of provisional psychologists, primary or secondary supervisor in place.

Employment Type: This is a part time permanent opportunity 24.00 hours per week.
