​Psychosocial Support Worker | Sydney Area | North, South Coast & Western Sydney

We are currently seeking mental health Support Workers to service our rapidly growing community.

As a Sykee Support Worker, you will have the freedom of scheduling your own hours, working independently with your clients, and access to training, guidance and advice from our in-house specialist. Progressing your career in Psychology and Psychotherapy with Sykee is also an option made available to successful Sykee Support Workers.

About the role:

We service all Sydney metropolitan areas (including; North and South Coast, and Greater Western Sydney areas). We assure you get work within 30 minutes of where you live, or less. Anytravel-related expenses are fully reimbursed including; tolls, parking fees, travel time, and each km traveled.

Typically the role includes:

• Offering mentoring, companionship and social support
• Assisting clients with community re-engagement and therapy coaching
• Transporting and accompanying clients to and from appointments
• Working individually with clients to assist and achieve therapeutic goals.

To be successful in this role you may have:

• Degree / Diploma in Psychology and/or Counselling, or other related discipline/field. 

AND/OR

• Previous experience working with people who have mental health conditions.

Essential requirements:

• Patience and a compassionate nature to help others
• National Police Check
• Working With Children's Check (if applicable)
• 2 Doses of Covid-19 Vaccination or Medical Exemption Form 
• A current Australian Driver’s License and access to a reliable car.
