We are seeking an experienced Pub Duty Manager to join the team. The Homestead Tavern is a locals pub located on the Brisbane Northside. The hotel is part of the Irvin Hotel Group that is an independently owned group.
We are seeking the following criteria:

- Maintaining Standards: Ensure that the highest food safety and compliance standards are met, following all safety, statutory, brand protocols, policies, and procedures diligently.
- Hands-On Operations: Dive into day-to-day operations, from handling cash drawers to managing phone calls, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Customer Service Focus: Customer service is key here—give it your all. Pay close attention to detail in every aspect of pub operations to deliver exceptional service.
- Collaborative Approach: Work closely with the Venue Manager, contributing both in the front and back of the house, fostering teamwork and cohesion.
- Industry Know-How: Leverage your strong knowledge of the food, beverage, and gaming industry to make informed decisions and drive success.
- Valid RMLV, Approved Managers Licence, RSA & RCG + applicable credentials and licences to work in the industry
- Available to work a flexible roster which will include nights and weekends
Job Criteria:
This role involves supervising staff and running the venue in accordance with following OLGR legislation & the hotels house policies and procedures.
The successful applicant will be able to work under the guidance of the Venue Manager and alongside senior staff. We also strongly support and encourage our Duty Managers to be fully inclusive of growing the business.
Duties:
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 1-2 years' experience within an operational position with exposure to Bar, Gaming, Keno, TAB and food and beverage;
- Superior customer service standards;
- Current RMLV & Approved Managers License, and an understanding of relevant hotel industry legislation and standards;
- Excellent cash handling skills and attention to detail;
- The ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends and public holiday;
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills; and
- The ability to lead and motivate others.
