About the Opportunity

The opportunity has become available for two experienced Public Area Cleaners, who will be actively responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and presentable 5-star environment at RACV Royal Pines Resort. You will clock up your step count each day, interacting with guests providing friendly & professional service, whilst moving throughout our large resort in back of house and front of house indoor & outdoor Public Area spaces.

We are looking for two team members to work 3+ shifts per week on afternoons: 4pm – 11pm or overnights: 11pm – 7am.

Full availability and flexibility is required to work a 7 day rotating roster including weekdays, weekends & public holidays.

Reporting to the Public Area Supervisor, your key responsibilities for the role include:

• Physical activity including working on your feet vacuuming, mopping, wiping & dusting, restocking amenities, rubbish removal
• Front of house: lobby, restrooms, pool area, lifts, common areas, restaurants & bars, conference & event space, day spa, carpark etc
• Back of house: hallways, offices, restrooms, change rooms, staff room etc
• Operating cleaning equipment & machinery ie. floor scrubber
• Handling chemicals & heavy lifting
• Pressure washing outdoor surfaces
• Perform duties in a safe working environment
• Interacting with guests and assisting them in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
• Working in a team of or autonomously

What you’ll need to be successful

• Experience in a Public Area cleaning role in a 4/5 star hotel/resort, or a similar environment, essential
• General cleaning knowledge & experience using commercial cleaning equipment & machinery including floor scrubbers and vacuums, chemical handling & health and safety practices
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated customer service skills, including the ability to interact with our guests in a friendly & professional manner, responding to guest queries and requests
• Strong attention to detail, work efficiently and solid time management skills.
• A positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, be proactive and take pride in your work
• Work well in a team environment and can perform duties responsibly and autonomously when required
• Actively perform repetitive manual tasks, heavy lifting and walking throughout our large resort
• Excellent personal presentation
