This is a great opportunity to progress a career in Public Practice accounting with a growing firm on the north end of the Sunshine Coast.
Reporting to the practice principal, you will be working with interesting clients made up of investors, small to medium business and superannuation funds.
Initially the work will be predominantly compliance and taxation, with opportunities to grow into business and process improvement, implementation of accounting internal controls, computerisation, and taxation optimisation.
The scope for you dealing directly with and managing clients will increase in line with your demonstrated technical and relationship management skills.
Continued technical development is seen as essential, and the practice will support your CPD and possibly further tertiary studies.
The office is well appointed and located adjacent to parking, shops and transport. Practice systems are cloud based, and facilitate flexible working arrangements.
To be successful, you will need
• An accounting degree or diploma (or to be in your final year) that will entitle you to membership of CPA, CA or IPA
• At least three years’ accounting experience, possibly gained while studying
• A high level of computer literacy
• A good knowledge of Microsoft Office – particularly Excel and Word
• Knowledge of MYOB & Xero
• A high level of attention to detail, and a diligent nature
• A friendly personality with a high attention to customer service
• Be fluent in English and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Experience with Xero and Xero XPM
