As a member of the GJK Facility Services team, you will have the opportunity to work with a supportive and friendly group of professionals who take pride in their work.

An exciting opportunity exists within Victoria for a Public Relations Officer to join GJK Facility Services to lead this function.

The primary function of this role is to manage the Media and Communications strategy across the company, which is to promote the GJK national messages internally and externally via traditional and social media platforms.

In this high-performance environment, you will achieve success by consulting with stakeholders on a regular basis while tenaciously driving performance delivery.

As you will be in constant contact with senior executives and external representatives, you will display professional presentation and communication abilities.

Primary areas of responsibility and accountability include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and organising publicity campaigns and communication strategies.
  • Advising executives on the Public Relations implications of their policies, programs, and practices.
  • Preparing and controlling the social media releases.
  • Undertaking and commissioning public opinion and market research, analysing the findings, and planning Public Relations and promotional campaigns.
  • Organising special events, seminars, entertainment, and social functions internally and externally.
  • If required, arranging executive interviews with the press, social media platforms, and other related organisations.
  • Attending business, social, and other functions to promote the company
  • Commissioning and obtaining photographs and other illustrative material.
  • Internal publications as required.

 Essentials for this job include:

  • Demonstrated ability to raise an organisation's profile.
  • 2-3 years of communications experience.
  • Bachelor or higher qualification.
  • Building and enhancing Public Relationships.
  • Exceptional written and strong oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate in a complex, multifaceted environment, including working with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience developing innovative and engaging social content plans.
  • An excellent communicator and able to partner cross-functionally across the business.
  • Able to ensure procedures are in place and are adhered to for timely and accurate reporting.
  • Highly organised and has great attention to detail.
