Honda Australia is in search of an ambitious, energetic & self-motivated graduate!

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Graduates responsibilities will include shadowing various staff members, participating in learning and development experiences, attending meetings and workshops, and gaining practical experience through performing tasks as directed by their manager. Duties will also include assisting in SAP being kept up to date with incoming container arrivals, submitting forecasts & orders to the factories, and support the control of the demand planning system and inputs.

This a 12 month fixed term opportunity!

Profile description:

How you'll make an impact:

• Researching potential projects, opportunities & initiatives where needed.
• Support the maintenance of ETA information in SAP.
• Take part in Niguri meetings as required.
• Support monthly review of warehouse stock & pending sales orders.
• Aid both Sales and Purchasing in deciding the port destination (Tanki), and measurement against set KPI targets for home warehouse allocation.
• Support and provide backup for Master Data maintenance and cleansing.
• Recommend process improvements for inbound confirmations.

What you'll bring to Honda:

• Recently graduated applicant who is keen to kick start their career.
• Ideally a Bachelor's degree in International Business and/or Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum, Cert IV in Business Logistics and Supply Chain Management or similar.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the business to provide advice and support.
• Ability to work autonomously, efficiently and with purpose.
• Ability to solve problems and use initiative.
• Attention to detail.
• Beginner skills in MS Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication skills - verbal (phone skills and face to face) and written.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Time management and organisational skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
