About the role
Geo Oceans are seeking a Perth based Procurement and Stores Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. You will provide quality, effective and efficient support to our operations team based in Osborne Park, Western Australia.
Duties
- Purchasing with a focus on technical equipment, fixings, tools, electronics and subsea robotics;
- Maintaining workshop stores and inventory;
- Receipt and inspection of delivered equipment;
- Maintain a stores inventory register;
- Perform periodic stock take checks;
- Supporting with packing and dispatch of equipment as required;
- Support the logistics officer with incoming and outgoing logistics;
- Support the team to research and source new parts, products and materials;
- Obtaining quotations from new and existing suppliers;
- Unloading and loading of trucks;
- Liaise with Operations regarding equipment movement;
- Providing procurement advice to operations team.
Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role;
- Understanding and knowledge of the procurement process;
- Great communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally;
- Self-motivated to deliver the best possible outcomes and work autonomously;
- Ability to prioritise workload efficiently;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Innovative, positive and solutions focused attitude;
- Ability to negotiate to achieve the best value;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Understanding of electronics or technical componentry procurement (desirable);
- Forklift ticket and drivers license (desirable);
- Transport and warehouse experience (desirable);
- A qualification in procurement or supply chain management (desirable).
