About The Role:
Delivering quality outcomes is a key focus at Umwelt and the Pursuits Team is a crucial part of presenting a positive and professional image to our clients. Reporting into the Pursuits Team Leader and working as part of our national Pursuits team, the Pursuits and Proposal Advisor will facilitate the development of high-quality pursuit strategies and proposal documents. You will co-ordinate and run our pursuits and proposals production process, targeted at winning work, with pursuits and proposals varying in scale and complexity. This position will work with discipline leads to source technical inputs while tailoring the content to produce a technically, commercially, and visually compelling document.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with pursuits and proposals teams to develop winning proposals consisting of value propositions, tailored for each client and opportunity
- Drive and lead internal planning sessions, meetings (and workshops for larger opportunities)
- Coordinate, write and run the proposals process. This involves the workflow of proposal responses with key Umwelt personnel including preparation of non-technical content including schedules, contract preparation and updates to standard schedule response templates, and coordination of other content preparation with relevant personnel
- Support the project proposal team to meet the clients’ timeframes and tender requirements
- Manage strategic client panels, including monitoring and reporting obligations
- Support CRM activities including opportunity pipeline, win/loss debriefs and client feedback reporting
- As appropriate, communicate with relevant client procurement personnel to clarify tender requirements during the tendering process
- Identify and implement operational enhancements that can be included to develop Umwelt’s tender submission processes
- Support the implementation of CV Partner by helping onboard new joiners with CV set up and training
- Coordinate with key internal specialists and project management personnel to ensure the key information such as methodology, teaming, pricing, value messaging and compliance data is obtained and compiled for the tender
- Have high-level word-processing skills, including edits, formatting, and typing, of a variety of documents from letters and proposals to large, complex, multi-volume reports as required
- Look for opportunities to develop the presentation style of reports, letters, and other communication material
- Coordinate efficient document production in liaison with project managers and administration personnel
- Apply well-developed knowledge of grammar and ability to identify errors and inconsistencies in documents
- Proficient in the use of commonly used office software such as Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, and Adobe
