Job Description:We're seeking a QA Practice Lead to join our team at Oracle + Aconex. In this position, you will represent the Quality Practice group, collaborating closely with the development team. Your responsibilities will include advocating for best practices, offering technical leadership on test automation, empowering and enabling teams to shift towards a quality-focused, "shift left" approach.You will work across multiple teams and disciplines including our full stack delivery teams, DevOps, security, and performance to assist in world-class testing strategies, practices and innovation that help us reduce time to market and increase application stability and customer satisfactionCareer Level - IC4
Responsibilities:As a QA Practice Lead, you will
- Provide leadership and guidance in continuous integration and continuous delivery .
- Initiate, suggest, and contribute to best practices and improvements in quality and testing.
- Build upon and lead quality initiatives that reduce cycle time and increase quality.
- Work on solving challenges in using CI/CD and test environments as part of the development workflow.
- Champion and implement shift left strategies and identify opportunities to test early and often.
- Be an advocate for building quality from the start (not just testing it).
- Actively look at ways to streamline and accelerate testing through the use of test automation and re-use.
- Serve as a technical authority test automation and provide on-going technical guidance, coaching, and knowledge transfer on test automation.
- Make use of feedback loops such as logs, dashboards, build stats etc to observe quality and take actions to improve outcomes.
Required Skills and Experience:- Extensive background in test automation across the entire test pyramid.
- Strong background and understanding of test automation concepts and practices.
- Experience across a wide variety of testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress and/or Playwright.
- Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Deployment concepts and tooling such as Jenkins etc.
- Experience in performance testing concepts.
- Programming experience in either C#, Java, or JavaScript.
- A sound ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business.
- Experience working within an Agile development environment.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and associated tooling.
