Quality Manager

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead, develop and implement quality assurance and quality control programs across our construction projects. As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring, implementing, and managing site quality across the project, as well as overseeing supplier and subcontract quality management.
The role will be primarily based on the project site (and in some circumstances moving between project sites), with scheduled periods in the Brisbane head office.
Key Accountabilities will include:
- Lead, develop and implement quality strategy, systems and processes, including develop of Project Quality Plans
- Management and delivery of quality documentation across all projects.
- Provide expert advice and practical solutions to support project-based personnel to ensure the effective implementation of QA/QC management systems & standards.
- Lead quality reviews and manage internal quality audit process on projects across Australia and NZ
- Facilitate internal reviews within the business for development of business improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency
- Establish, implement, and maintain the Project Deliverables Plan prior to the commencement of works
- Review all client specifications and designs to incorporate quality requirements in processes and ensuring expectations are satisfied
- Reporting, communicating, and closeout of non-conformances and defects
- Monitoring NCR's, test results trends and other sources of deficiencies and subsequently investigating and initiating corrective and preventive actions
- Monitoring the project quality objectives, targets, KPI's and related programs including status of NCR's, reworks, and defects
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Key skills and experience required for you to thrive in this role, will include:
- Experience with quality management practices in multi-discipline construction in the heavy industry, energy or resources sector
- Minimum of 7 years' quality management experience
- Proven ability to work from a strategic to operational level, with a "hands on" approach
- Ability to communicate in a disciplined and constructive manner
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Quality Management, Engineering, Trade or a related field
