Qa Officer

We are currently seeking a reliable and passionate Quality Assurance officer to join our client in the food manufacturing industry. As a QA officer, you will be responsible for assisting in and overseeing all aspects of quality management, including production audits, food safety compliance, equipment testing, and reporting. Previous experience in Quality Control, and within the food manufacturing industry, is highly preferred. This role is a permanent salary position, offering annual and personal leave entitlements. Our facility operates in a refrigerated environment, ensuring that all products meet the highest possible standards.
Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting daily inspections and quality assurance checks in production areas.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety procedures and regulations through audits and documentation.
• Managing equipment calibration and testing for optimal performance.
• Coordinating hygiene and safety programs, including training and compliance with standards.
• Driving continuous improvement through investigations, reporting, and training initiatives.

In order to be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Confident understanding of HAACP and allergen control requirements.
• Excellent mathematical skills and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong focus on safety and good knowledge of safe work practices.
• Previous quality control experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Food Science/Microbiology highly regarded.
• Positive, energetic and hardworking attitude.
• Comfortable handling cheese product.
• Availability to work the day shift.
• Own vehicle and current driver's license.
• Working Rights in Australia
