The Role - What will you do?
This integral role of QA/QC Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing quality assurance and quality control processes within our projects. This role will ensure our products and services meet or exceed specified quality standards and regulatory requirements across all aspects of the project operations.
You will be responsible for:
Actively providing guidance, and support to the overseas fabrication workshops
Driving deliverables through the fabrication process and project execution phase in compliance with quality management systems, customer specification and contractual obligations
Accessing the customer requirements and ensuring that these are met
Documenting quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits
Setting up customer standards
Specifying customer requirements of raw materials with the suppliers
Investigating and setting standards for quality, health and safety
Analysing and investigating product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements
Developing or updating company complaint and inspection procedures to ensure capture and investigation, as well as proper documentation of complaints
Carefully maintaining complaint and non-conformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions
Monitoring risk-management procedures, and maintaining and analysing problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development
Providing training and support to the staff on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes
Ensuring Mill certificates are all compliant
Ensuring all Technical queries are respected and submitted to clients
Implementing the QA/QC management systems
Coordinating with the customer’s representative on all quality matters
Distributing relevant QA/QC documentation to site subcontractors
Verifying that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards
Participating in the site internal and external site audits
Coordinating all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors
Ensuring all quality control documentation is compiled and competed for as-built hand over
Controlling all non-conformance reports and undertaking remedial action
Completing site quality control instructions and action remedial responses
Reviewing the customer’s specification and undertake relevant training to the site QC inspector
Monitoring the implementation of the approved site QC Plan
Completing and coordinating the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer
Coordinating, with the site construction manager, on all quality issues Coordinating and chairing the QA/QC site weekly meetings with the project's subcontractors QC personnel
Elaborating inspection and test programs
Ensuring the safety is adhered to at site
Assuring all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status
Skills & Experience - What do you need?
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management or a related discipline
Relevant certification in quality management or quality assurance is preferred
Demonstrated experience, minimum 3 years, in a similar role in the Structural Steel Fabrication industry
Strong knowledge of quality management principles and practices
Proficiency in quality management software and tools
Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
Sound knowledge of construction materials and related specifications
Sound working knowledge of Australian and international standards and codes
Experience in Microsoft office suite and any EMDS
Proven track record in building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external clients
Excellent communication both written and verbal
Proficient in both English and Vietnamese languages will be highly regarded
Advanced MS office skill
Ability to work as a team
