Quality Assurance And Technical Advisor

Based near Childers in Isis Central, ORECO GROUP is a privately owned, manufacturing company, who produce and supply a diverse range of horticultural and agricultural products throughout Australia. Oreco Group’s sole focus is to produce the best quality products, while supporting local and regional businesses and communities, by sourcing recycled, eco-friendly and sustainable raw materials.

We are seeking a Full-time QA and Technical Advisor to join our team and oversee the Quality Assurance and Technical capabilities of the products our organization produces. This role will also assist with ensuring that quality and compliance is being followed through all Oreco areas to be able to monitor and record accurate reports against the quality manual and conducting audits in house to ensure our standards are of high standards including our work procedures and processes.

Requirements and Skills:

• Proven experience in Quality Assurance and Technical specialist or similar role
• Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of Quality Assurance
• Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
• Excellent data collection and analysis skills
• Ability to liaise with new and existing growers to ensure their feed and fibre supply is up the quality standards for feed suitability
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience in the manufacturing or agricultural industry, supported by specialist knowledge in Quality Assurance monitoring and reporting systems is highly regarded

Qualifications and knowledge:

• Tertiary qualified in Agribusiness, Agronomy, Horticulture and Animal Nutrition preferred.
• Background knowledge in Environmental science advantageous.
• HACCAP accreditation and Australian Standards experience preferred.
• A flexible and creative approach to problem solving.
• Previous experience in Quality assurance, monitoring or compliance.
• Be able to conduct and complete product certification.

This role will report to our General Manager and will be based at our Childers manufacturing site you will need to:

• Create, operate and update documentation pertaining to Oreco's quality and compliance system to comply with industry bodies.
• Operate within the requirements of Oreco's Quality & Compliance System
• Perform data collection, data compiling and data entry.
• Review the quality of Product on the Factory site.
• Review the quality of product on the Compost site.
• Oversee the quality reporting of production, logistics as required across the factory and compost site.
• Assist with the development of new products.
