The Underwriting Quality Assurance Specialist role is accountable for supporting GI Underwriting in the delivery of the Technical Underwriting Assurance Framework.
This role supports alignment across all Underwriting teams to help ensure a strong, cohesive and collaborative unit focused on disciplined underwriting execution. The role is also responsible for coordinating the development of all areas across the Zurich Way of Underwriting including Frameworks, Governance, Assurance, Controls and technical training.
Important to your success - let's grow together
- Multiple years of general insurance experience in underwriting.
- Experience and background in assurance or 1st line control functions (preferred)
- Understanding and application of general insurance
- Understanding and application of QA process and controls framework
- Continuous improvement - understand continuous improvement frameworks, ability to implement and maintain
- A high level understanding of underwriting and claims processes.
- Technical Underwriting Reviews, local review and quality assurance activities are completed within agreed parameters (time, quality, costs).
- Data quality is maintained to agreed standards.
- Accurate and timely reports on agreed business activity are provided.• Areas for improvement are identified, with actions tracked and monitored through to resolution, demonstrating opportunities are maximized with respect to embedding best practice.
