Job Summary: Seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor to join a team at their Mount Kuring-Gai facility. The QA Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance and food safety programs, ensuring that products meet all regulatory and company standards. This role involves leading a team of QA technicians (4 on shift), conducting audits, and collaborating with various departments to uphold our commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the QA team to ensure effective implementation of quality assurance programs and protocols.
- Develop, review, and update quality assurance procedures, policies, and documentation to comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, SQF, etc.).
- Monitor and analyze quality control data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to address any non-conformances.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
- Train and mentor QA technicians and staff on quality assurance procedures and food safety protocols.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of quality assurance activities and findings.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in quality and food safety within the facility.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (HACCP, SQF, GMP, etc.).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
