About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our Wetherill Park team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our production processes meet or exceed regulatory requirements and industry standards for quality and safety.
Your new role will include:
- Coaching and mentoring QA Officers including that of up to date specifications
- Promote and identify training and development needs for QA Officers
- Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) are maintained
- Ensure all Quality Manual, SOP and Work Instructions are met by both QA teams and relevant departments
- Drive continuous improvement through weekly audits of QA policies, procedures and work instructions
- Manage workload and task distribution of QA Team
- Review and verify correction actions taken by QA team
- Consult with operation departments to ensure and verify all products are safe, hygienic and to supplier, customer or BEC specification

About you
This role would suit a highly motivated QA leader with a true passion for quality and food safety. You are a confident communicator with strong decision-making ability and thrives under a high paced environment.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Experience from the meat industry would be advantageous, but is not essential
- Tertiary qualifications or substantial practical experience
- Food production experience at a supervisory level (preferably within a GMP environment)
- Thorough understanding of HACCP, State Food, AQIS and Australian Standard
- Strong experience leading and motivating a team
- Quality and continuous improvement focused
- Demonstrated ability to think quickly, clearly, logically whilst meeting deadlines
- Outstanding attention to detail
