Brooklyn Fine Meats is looking for Qualified Butchers, cashiers and apprentices to join our award winning and dynamic team. We currently have an opportunity for the ideal candidates to work at our new (about to open) Darlinghurst shop located at a busy shopping centre. The Role:
We currently have an opening for a Full-Time, Casual or Part-Time Qualified Butchers or Full-Time, Part-Time or Casual cashiers, and apprentices to join our team. We look for passionate, hardworking team players that can also think on their feet and be adaptable. The hired candidate will need to assist the team in the daily upkeep and set up of the shop display, including slicing, prepping, breaking whole bodies, and also providing over the counter customer service and advice.
The successful applicant will:
- Be available Full-time and willing to work on weekends if required.
- Or, be available casually to work 1 weekend day in a 3-4 day roster.
- If applying as a qualified butcher, we would require experience in all aspects of butchery, attention to detail and be well presented.
- As a qualified butcher, you will also need to have completed at minimum the Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher).
- If applying as an apprentice, you will need to be willing to attend TAFE NSW - Granville once a week as part of your apprenticeship training. Or a nominated RTO that we work with.
- Have amazing customer service and be a team player.
- Be punctual and a general all-rounder.
- Be able to legally work in Australia.
- Have excellent English communication skills.
