Position Overview: We are looking for a reliable and experienced electrician who is adept at installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in all areas of electrical work, possess excellent troubleshooting skills, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
We need a self motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual that can think on their feet to overcome the many challenges we as electricians face on a day to day basis.
As a team member of JCS electrical you will be given the responsibility of completing your own jobs start to finish- This requires attention to detail in all aspects from attending site and dealing with customers, fault finding, implementing safety measures, ordering materials, reporting verbally and taking in depth notes, and most importantly customer satisfaction.
The role will consist of working along side a team within small to medium commercial projects, service and maintenance in large to medium commercial buildings, installation of lighting, power, mains cables, switchboards, metering etc.
Our service work requires someone thats familiar with AS/NZS3000 and has an in depth understanding of how an electrical systems works. Fault finding and repairs makes up a large portion of our work.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with Australian standards
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions
- Read and interpret plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an electrician in a commercial setting
- Current electrician's license and certification
- Thorough knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques
